Lions Knockout day is a roaring success for all

The Crawley Lions Club was joined by other Lions clubs from across the county for their annual It’s A Knockout competition.

On Friday 3rd June the Lions clubs hosted the 22nd annual It’s A Knockout competition at the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley. 13 teams of up to eight participants from local day centres for people with learning difficulties, including Outreach 3 Way from Ifield, took part in the event. Much loved games from Post A Letter to Pin Up The Washing were enthusiastically carried out by the competitors with a range of supporting helpers. Each team took home a commemorative plaque and each individual received a certificate and medal to recognise their achievement.

Lion Mike Sexton, President of Crawley Lions Club said: This is always a fabulous day, I’m not sure who has the most fun – the Lions and their helpers or those taking part. We very much look forward to coming back again next year. The Mayors of Crawley, Raj Sharma and Haywards Heath, Sujan Wickremaratchi together with a member of Horsham Council were on hand to judge the best JOKER competition and to help with the presentations. The Lions Clubs would like to thank all those that took part and helped to make the day a resounding success.
